Brian Greenhalgh

Chairman

Revd Brian Greenhalgh is a dedicated faith leader and justice sector professional serving as the Managing Chaplain at HMP Altcourse (Sodexo Justice Services). He is also the Co-Founder and Chair of New Vision (Merseyside Community Chaplaincy), a multi-faith initiative focused on supporting prison leavers as they transition back into the community.

Brian has worked extensively within the UK Care and Justice services since 2007, developing a deep expertise in pastoral care, rehabilitation, and reducing reoffending. An alumnus of Wrexham University, he advocates passionately for unconditional community acceptance to help individuals overcome systemic barriers like stigma, homelessness, and unemployment. Through his dual roles in institutional chaplaincy and community leadership, Brian bridges the gap between prison gates and local faith groups to foster safer, more compassionate communities.
