Jon is a professional scientist working in the farming sector to understand how we can produce food more sustainably with reduced impacts on the environment. He has been volunteering at services in HMP Altcourse prison chaplaincy and advocating for prisoners and prison leavers in his church and community since moving to the Wirral from Hertfordshire in 2023. He is currently also a mentor.
Through his involvement with the prison chaplaincy, Jon became aware of the fragmented support for men and women leaving prison and saw the potential for coordinated action on Merseyside to help ex offenders rebuild their lives and strengthen their faith.
